Why do ppl hate certain kinds of music so much?

Well, I dislike the rap genre because I don't find it very interesting. I like songs with lots of instruments and varying vocals that show musical talent.... rap has none of that. So I guess there's my reason why. I just don't think some genres are interesting.

I personally love those genres. It's rap and rock and scream-o and stuff like that that I can't stand.

I love oldies. Not a big country fan, though. And sorry, but I don't think there is any "logical" explanation. It really is just a person's opinion.

I personally love those genres! Well basically it is all opinion (I think)..but not only that it could be a break-up or something not so great happened while a song from that genre was playing (especially considering everyone handles things differently!) but I mean I don't think there is a logical reason (well I haven't heard one as of yet)..so it really revolves around opinion and personal experiences as well.

It's based on personal opinion. You can't expect everyone to like those types of music. I think some old music is ok,but it depends on what it is. I just think country sucks.

I don't hate ANY kind of music
Even if i say that i do,i'm a liar becuz there will always be a time when i'm gonna listen to this kind :P

I just hope that one day people will appreciate music (like ppl USED TO 50 years ago)not only as a entertainment but as a way of life ,becuz thx to music you can learn so many things and do many things in your life
It can help you for the future,especially if you have an idol and you get to know how life is like when you're famous

And btw,i don't really like country music,i'm not gonna lie to this....It's just not my style ,not that it's old-fashioned or something..

That's the question I ask my self every day, literally.

I like music with real instruments, mostly guitar, bass guitar, drums and I like the vocals to be manly...Like really.

There are some music that I don't really like...Like electro, hip-hop, rap, dubstep, and maybe pop...:D

I'm more interested in post-hardcore, rock, metal, glam rock, punk, and these kind of stuff...:D And yes, I'm a girl..:D

So, when it comes to the question, I'm like: Okay, I like good music, and I don'T care what you listen, just use your headphones...:D

I hate rap music because there is much cursing in it and they are unrespectful against women.

I also don't like modern pop music because most of those people are talentless and are only out for the money or fame.

I have nothing against oldies or country music though.

Idk, I love country! Rascal Flatts is my favorite and Keith Urban. But I love all kinds of music really, but scremo.. why, cause I cannot stand that screaming shit... ugh, its annoying as hell.

i dislike rap because its just talking to a weird remix which toataly defines the meaning of music, country is ok but not my type and i love old rock! i also dislike house music cause its just weird noises with no instruments

Most pop and rap music annoy the hell out of me. I can't explain it, it's just how my ear works.

Whiny songs about how his girl left him and he will do anything to get her back, those are the songs that sound like nails scratching down a blackboard to me! (Not talking about country music though)

I dislike R & B and Rap (most of the time)

Mainly it's just a person's opinion. I despise most rap, screamo, R&B and pop. Though, I enjoy (some) country, rock, punk, and grunge.

IDK why. I wish I knew.
I love country- actually, I like most music, but my mum hates country.
If music is good, I don't think the genre matters. That's just my opinion.
