To me political parties are the greatest evil that government holds George Washington warned us against

But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty."

"The common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it."

He was the last independent to be elected into office although I believe political parties started out in humble beginnings as they gain power though these beginnings start to darken with that same power to what they are now, corruption. I believe there should be no political affiliation only independents where there must be compromise to get things done just like how the constitution was made with people agreeing to certian terms and will to trade off. Thats much easier said then done of course, in a perfect world for me at least this is how it would be.

Of course this is my own view ^^ plus independents usually have more of a extreme on things where I often have the same.
