Honestly, I'm just a bit offended by the lack of female characters! I also love yuri just as much as yaoi and het, and I think it's a tiny bit unfair that there's legit yaoi and het in the series, but no legit yuri! I love lovey kissy lesbians, or at least a lesbian crush, in the things I watch/read, but you don't see me hating the male characters because they're males.

Oh for CRYING OUT LOUD yes! It irks me to no end! No female character "gets in the way" of yaoi. Most never show any interest in ANY character, and if they do, then your yaoi pairing probably wouldn't happen anyway. If you think a character "gets in the way" of yaoi, it's because you're making it that way.

Note that I do actually like a lot of boyxboy pairings, but I'm not going to hate on a female character just because they're also paired with one of them.

i don't hate female characters at all, there should be more, and i like the nyo versions too. i don't hate Seychelles but i don't understand why there are so many pairings with her, i understand if she's paired up with France or England because i think it was their colony, but does she have connections with other countries from Europe or Asia?
