NO matter what the gender of the other person is, you should be able to marry them if you want to. And why shouldn't a gay couple adopt a kid that could get a loving family instead of being stuck at a small orphanage?

Well, that's pretty stupid!
If the couple can't have kids of thier own then it makes perfect sense to adopt! That way, some kid(s) can have a family. Not to mention if the kid has been abused or exposed to drugs they can have a nice loving home. It would actually help out if gay couples were allowed to adopt. Thier wouldn't be so many children in the world that we would have to worry about dying or turning to drugs.
And why won't they let them adopt?
Because they're afraid the children will turn out gay too.
No matter where you go, people are going to be gay. It's just a part of society that homophobes need to get over and deal with!
Thier are even straight men and women in this world who even choose not to have kids. You don't see them being nagged at! And there's no guarantee the kid will automaticall be gay. This goes back to my whole "You can't help who your heart falls in love with" quote!
So what do you think? Children with a loving family or children with no home at all? I Vote Gay Rights!

Jesus, people really need to get over themselves. It's not like the world is going to blow up if gays get married and adopt! They're humans. They won't kill or abuse children. Like straight people, if gays adopt, the children will get a nice loving home.

I don't undertand why people don't want gay to marry. I mean, everybody should have the right to marry someone.
But I understand why they don't want gay people to adopt. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I agree them, I just understand their reasons. That is really different. And it doesn't always mean they're homophobic.

I have a gay bestfriend and he has a boyfriend so yes it bothers me strongly because they always wonder what will happen in the future. And when we three are out in public and people stare at them when they hold hands. I got so frusrtated once that I took it out on a bunch of teenagers who kept laughing at them. It's horrible for people to not accept everyone >:l

It's a statistical fact that adopted children have much higher probability of having happy home lives, because the parents wanted to have kids, they fought to raise them through paperwork and bureaucracy and so are less likely to abuse them. So that would mean when a gay couple decides they would like to have children and want to adopt it is pretty likely they would make great parents. There are of course gay men and women who don't wish to be mothers or fathers and that's fine as well, because they on the other hand probably wouldn't be good parents anyway.

So as long as a human can't for any reason have children, but want them he/she should be able to get them by any other legal and ethical methods of their choice, despite the gender of their respective partner.

And if someone is fine with the rights of gay people, they should agree with that otherwise they really aren't an advocate of basic human rights anyway. I always get the feeling that people like that would be fine with me going to the school of their children, but only as long as I don't befriend their sons and daughters and I'm not being brought into their homes.

If someone is against gay marriage we shouldn't force them to our point of veiw. That's fascism, and doesn't nessicarly equate to being homophobic. Often it's a religious or cultural thing we should do our best to respect.
