Fanpop Question

Why does it take so long for recently added content to show up in the search?

When I try to convert someone to The Light Side (those who credit/keyword properly), I mention that keywords will help their image turn up in a search. A recent convert, who did edit her images to include information that should make it findable, pointed out that when she tried to search for it, it didn't turn up. I searched for it using the keywords she added and didn't get it either. I then started searching for stuff I've added recently (therefore, knew it existed) and didn't get results either. I went back through some recent uploads and am now guessing that it takes about 10 days for new stuff to show up in the search. Is there a reason for this?

While there used to be method in the madness of the Fanpop keywording system (trust me, in hours of desperate boredom I tested the keywording system until it was raw), the new search system seems to have changed the function of both keywords and titles. But as you can tell from my links in the conversation above, its actually all over the place and nothing works. And it isn't, from my experience, just new content.

As far as I can tell, keyworded content still shows up outside Fanpop, like if you search Google, then correctly keyworded Fanpop content will appear somewhere in the search results, usually pretty high up in the results if the keywords are specific. But within the Fanpop search system, I actually have no idea how it works anymore.

How unhelpful have to been? Very. Hopefully someone will have an actual answer, not just more questions!
