England Question

Do you agree that the appearance of the English/St. George's flag has racist tendancies?

So there's been a quite debate recently that the English flag is racist towards other ethnic groups (aside British-white). Do you agree? Should it be changed?

Personally, I think it's nonesense that the flag, a simple white rectangle with a red cross, can be racist. I fail to see how it can represent a certain type of ethnicity apart from it's origin from the middle-ages when almost all English people were just that. I'm proud of our heritage and don't want it to change. I'm in no way racist, and support multi-ethnic communities, I love the diversity, but I think this is going way beyond political correctness. I fail to see how the flag can cause injustise/offence to people.

However, being only a white English myself, it's easy for me to think like this, I would love to know what all you lot think. Am I overlooking something? Does it have racist tendancies? Or biased towards a certain type of British citizen? Should it be changed, and if so, to what? I am open and welcome to all your views. :)

(And happy St. Georges Day).

it is the cross of st george the patron saint of england the country is called england it was here when england was just white people its our history way back in 1069 when it was worn to tell england apart from other countries in the first crusade. its like if i suddenly went to live in america or france or any other county in the world i couldnt just make a country change its flag because it doesnt apply to me its totally wrong if i wanted to live in another country i should respect and love everything about it if no then dont live in it. you could also say the union jack is racist because it only represents england scotland and wales and not other nations that live in the uk

Who are the racially offensive people saying this? If it is English we can say it because we have been invaded often, the people from the arabian/judaic countries forced their religion/stories on us called christianity. The nuns look very similar to muslims from the clothes they wear, they have terrorised the west over the centuries and we live in a racially offensive country now with our people trying to combat the black/brown power organisations.
The past century has been horrible.
Personally i think the people should be exposed and named, every flag in the world could be said to be racist because it belongs to a country and people,is it the evil melting pot people again going sick, they should go to the doctor or ban or racially offensive literature, films.music, politicians especially the infamous writer and singers of the world is a great big melting pot. And the hackers on our computers.
