What do you think about the Doctor's new companion Clara Oswald?

I don"t like her too cheeky. I agree with SEXY, THE TARDIS dosen"t like her and niether Do I.

I absolutely hate Clara, to be honest. I hate her so much that it is radiating off onto Jenna and now I hate her. Ugh. She has a demon face....

I don't get why people say she's" Impossible to care about". I think she's everything a companion needs to be,she's adventurous,funny sweet and mostly the doctor really cares about her. I love the chemistry those two have

There is nothing wrong with Clara. STOP HATING ON HER!! She is beautiful, strong and brave. I get that the Doctor is married. But he has never said that he likes her! Even Clara denies anything between them! The Impossible Girl is a beautiful girl from the inside, and outside. She deeply cares for the Doctor and he cares for her too. If you don't appreciate her, at least don't be mean! And the episode's are interesting too! Plus if you don't understand Clara's importance, you yourself can see in Snowmen, he wears a bow tie after long and Clara made him go on adventures again. Clara is the reason you have more episodes. Also I think Clara is an idol for young women; she is strong, pretty and fearless and most of all; KEEPS THE DOCTOR HAPPY!!!
And Matt and Jenna's chemistry is crackling!!

Okay, I really liked her in 'Asylum of the Daleks' and 'The Snowmen' - she was fun, flirty, feisty, intelligent, adventurous, kind, loyal.... And she's good in all her other episodes in s7 pt 2 as well, but she doesn't have the same sass that she had before. In some episodes, like 'Cold War' and 'The Crimson Horror' she doesn't really do much at all, but she does let the audience see the Doctor and his adventures through her eyes, so she is relatable. She was brilliant in 'The Rings of Akhaten'- loving, kind, brave, caring, self-sacrificing. And she's shown she can make quick decisions as in 'Journey' and 'Nightmare'. She improved a lot after 'Name of the Doctor'. She's a very wise person and even though she's really young compared to the Doctor she knows him more than anyone and knows how to care for him. In series 8 she is amazing!! She's grown in confidence, she's more independent, and she doesn't let the Doctor walk all over her! She is the star of s8, no denying! She is able to be cunning to get what she wants from villains, ie 'Deep Breath' and 'Robot of Sherwood', and her loving and kind nature towards children was evident in 'Listen' - she helped Rupert/Danny and then The Doctor again- telling them its ok to be afraid and giving them hope. She was faultless in s7 but now we know how much of a control freak she is- and its not a bad thing to have faults, although I think that the faults were forced on us too much in s8 as a way of 'making up' for the mary sue-eque character in s7. And in 'Kill The Moon' she may have over-reacted to the Doctor's actions but she was put in an impossible situation and she did manage to keep it under control and stop that astronaut from detonating the moon! I say congrats to Jenna's Clara, as she is growing from strength to strength with every episode, and it will be a shame to see her leave if the rumours are true.

I'm waiting for here to grow on me. Im still hoping that "the episode" that makes me fall in love with her is coming up. At this point though i just don't have any sort of emotional attachment to her. She's just the girl how travels with the doctor she has no story beyond that. I didn't like martha at first but going back and re-watching her episodes I realized what an amazing job Frema did in that role. In short, I have yet to pass judgement.

Ugh, Clara. Matt Smith should've quit when Karen and Arthur did. The Doctor is just not the same with Clara, Jesus lot darker, relies more on luck, less arrogant- which we all loved about him. Go home Clara!

She is one of my favorite companions tied with Donna.
I admire her bravery and courage because she kept dying to save the Doctor.
I love her sassy remarks to the Doctor and she is a great companion overall.
I like the chemistry between the two; it makes the characters seem more alive. (:

I like her, she's fun, clever, and have a great connection with Matt. I think she can be a great companion.

I dislike Clara Oswin Oswald. Although she is mildly clever and certainly and intriguingly mysterious character, I think she will quickly become tiresome. And she snogged the Doctor. What? Why? He's married! To one of the most notorious criminals ever! RIVER SONG! This girl... I mean, if I could, I'd also just go and kiss him, but that one action really annoyed me. Rassilon, I miss the Ponds!

I don't like her. I find the character arrogant and I can't connect with her. Overall I'm disappointed with the direction season 7 has taken since Christmas.

I actually dislike Clara. I gave her a chance, but I still don't like her at all. But everyone has their own opinions! (:

I absolutely HATE her ! She thinks she's all clever and stuff, and she thinks she's so awesome and knows everything about the Doctor ! She thinks she knows him so well when she didn't even know he was married ! She's such a rubbish character, she's never impressed by any of the alien stuff, and at the beginning she was all like yeah okay sure you're an alien that's fine ! She's so full of it. We know absolutely nothing about her, except for that silly old stupid leaf story. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE doctor who ! I think it's the best show EVER, and I absolutely love Matt Smith ! I think he's the best of them all. I loved him with Amy as well, but since season 6, the show has started to get a little bit off track the typical doctor who episodes. The episodes aren't the same anymore, it ain't a doctor who fight against monsters anymore, it's more like Oh hello here's the problem, andnow I am going to fix everything with this new thing you don't know about and make all of it better in two seconds ! It's not the same at all. Although I prefer Matt Smith, I by far prefer the episodes from the season 5 and from previous seasons, even though season 6 and 7 do have their fare share of good episodes, but not brilliant, just good. The episodes written by Steven Moffat are really good though, but I really did not like that he made Clara get the Daleks to forget all about the Doctor in a split second, after all that history between them ! They were the best monsters, and now everything is ruined. They used to be THE monsters of the show, now they've been forgotten, all because of CLARA ! It's such a shame.. Does anyone else feel this way ? That the show isn't what it was anymore ?

I think she's awesome! She may have snogged a married man, but she didn't know! While some points haven't been as good as previous series, she is still really good. While everyone has an opinion, I feel you are being to harsh on her. She is the kickass impossible girl! Cut her some slack!

I wanted to like her. I wanted her to be the extraordinary clever one. The mystery of the companion. I loved the title "the Impossible girl" but... I can't take these ClaraXDoctor anymore. I can't get why they took a romantic route with her. It feels like they have forgotten the 2 and a half seasons they took building up River. Some of the things that didn't make sense to me (her being able to handle that space bike on her very first trip to another world) I put off as saying "well she's impossible, right? It will be explained!" but it wasn't. Also, how in the finale she kept on saying that she was "born to save the doctor." I mean, she did save him, and did a fabulous job i might add, but how does that make it fate? she seemed VERY confident the doctor was going to fall for her, and it seemed like most of the rest of the Whovians were all for them, making me feel like River had been cheated. *sigh* The best I can say for the "romance blooming between them" is that it made the season finale so much more meaningful. It showed that clara, like Madame de Pompadour, was just a distraction, and that the true love the doctor shares with those special few will shine through in the end. So thank you Clara Oswin Oswald, for that. *cough* *cough*... you can leave forever now...*cough*

I disliked her since the beginning and wish she had died in the season finale. She is really dull with nothing unique to bring to the table. This past season was really disappointing as well and now Matt is leaving so I'm not a happy camper. Hopefully she will leave soon and bring someone who is actually interesting and lovable.

I really dislike her, she is pretty empty as a person and her being impossible was not very interesting either. I think Moffat has reached a new low and the seventh season crashed and burned, I'm really upset.

I really like her....She's funny and smart. Is she good as the previous companions like the Ponds, Donna, Rose etc. NO, but I still think she is pretty cool :)

I like Clara. I think she has potential and I can't wait to see how she works with the new Doctor. Also she does keep saving the Doctor so that's a plus.

Quite frankly, I dislike her. Not saying I hate her, But she is just so arrogant it annoys me, I don't think any one will ever replace Amelia Pond for me, I thought Amy was a good connection between her and the doctor.

She is too perfect a companion. She doesn't seem real. I liked her character well enough till the leaf thing. Then she is too perfect to be real. It's like she lives in her own little world of happiness and sunshine. She doesn't behave as one would to all this and she hasn't developed on bit or change at all since we met her. She doesn't seem human....

(Not that she's a 'new' companion anymore) I don't have a strong opinion on her. She's an interesting character, and sometimes I like her more than others. She's definitely grown on me a bit since her first few episodes.

She is amazing. Not even kidding.

She's alright.. Not my favorite companion though. That's still Donna.

I have been a long-time Doctor Who fan. I'm 57 and remember the first episode when it first went to air in Australia. As for Clara and the current scripts...what we would describe in AUS as Bogan drama. Really, who cares about her relationship? Does the show have to be dumbed down to a version of Eastenders(UK) or Home and Away (AUS)?? And as for an assistant overshadowing the Doctor...what is wrong with the people running this show? Utter, utter crap. I would hate to give it away, but the show no longer appeals to me the way it has for over 50 years. Sad, really. Peter Capaldi has great potential.

Summary: most people think her characterisation is poor and soufflegirl88 will disagree with anyone who thinks otherwise, call them mean and a jerk, and tell them to go home, like a 2 year old would.

I realise I'm very late to answer this, but I have to state how much I dislike Clara.

The seventh season of Doctor Who was almost unwatchable for me, as I couldn't connect to Matt Smith as the Doctor. I like Matt Smith, he is an excellent actor, but the first time I felt something for him as the Doctor was when he finally regenerated into Peter Capaldi.
I love Peter Capaldi. I love his quirks, his accent, his seriousness. The eighth season was, once again, watchable, enjoyable even...except...
Clara. Always Clara, everything seems to always revolve around her. How did this become her show? How did she become the centre of the universe?

I don't like Clara. I think she was the attempt at an older, more educated Rose Tyler. She was a love interest, and then, she wasn't. She never should've been anything at all, in the first place. I don't hate her, but realising that Jenna Coleman will keep playing Clara for season 9 was horrible news for me.

Clara is too perfect. Rose was flawed (IMMENSELY), Donna was flawed, Martha was flawed, Jack, Sarah Jane (she used to scream a lot, from what I reckon), even Amy, who was irrationally obsessed with the Doctor. That's it. Everybody's lives have to revolve around him, but since Clara is around, it seems like he revolves around her and what she wants. He forgives her for everything.

She doesn't deserve it, and after Danny Pink's death, she lost the few marbles she had left.

If you want to know why I don't particularly favor Clara it is because she 'betrays' the Doctor and has lied to him on multiple occasions and she didn't care if she was going to destroy the entire universe or not she always acted like it was the Doctor's fault and not Danny's, stupidity if you ask me

I think The Doctor(12) said it indirectly best. He didn't believe in ghosts & then with a child-like splendor he WOWed at the possibly. Clara REMINDS him of his own doubts, to wish he says"...well yes, there was no such thing as socks or smart phones and badgers,until there suddenly were.." In his new discovery he says the wrong thing. She has prepared for him the correct response cards based on his past "think out loud statements". Hello, this is The Doctor & part of the reason we love him. I find she curbs his personality. He is 2000 years old. Now, is not the time to "play" teacher. She is no best friend. Now, I see a woman without humility slyly controlling The Doctor, like a bitter wife (yuck)with a halo. She wants 2 travel 2 extremely cool places only. & doubts places not instantly thrilling. Forget Cheeky, I think her arrogance is a threat to The Doctor. She wants the universe's cake & to mold it too. She's the cherry on top. 😒

I think that Clara Oswald would have bn a perfect companion for all 12 doctors but she really is the best person to be with the 12th doctor because she is brilliant and a fast learner. bt the main reson is that that the12th doctor was controlling did not wn to listen to other people because he refused that he isn't always but clara really sets him straight and she herself is controlling and wants to be right so when they are together they learn to be understanding and patiant
