really? Personaly the only conection I sow 11 had with Amy was the same he had with Martha, only silghtly sader cause she never really got over it. at least in my eyes. sorry had to place my two cents in on that.

I wouldn't quite agree. Amy loved the Doctor but mostly as a friend. Did she try something more? Yes... But they had a connection. He was a person who she dreamed about her whole life but let's not forget she met him as a child, a kid and as she says in the episode "Let's Kill Hitler" when Mels asks her "Is he hot?" She responds "No, he's funny." you can see she clearly didn't have a romantic connection to him before. He was just another dissapointment in her life even though he was also one of the best things that happened to her. Meeting him later meant to approach her childhood dreams again that she has already given up on in that time. She still trusted him. She waited for him. And she probably did like him in a sexual way but she still chose Rory over him, married him and spent the rest of her life with him. Amy Pond never clearly knew what she wanted, but the writers hinted many times (and sealed the deal by her obvious choice of Rory in The Angels Take Manhattan) that The Doctor was her only her friend. A very important person in her life if not the most, but I think she loved him in a different way we expect. Just my opinion :)
