Also, it's funny that you added this question, as I had to answer "who's your favorite animated character" in my animation class today. It was somewhat funny what peoples' reaction was to it, as most of them had me say it again cause they were clueless I suppose... Sad really, so many people not aware of such a great animated film in a class specifically geared towards that exact thing... :-(

Seriously, they didn't know who Bolt was? That's just sad...

Indeed it was, and get this; I had to SPELL IT OUT for them!!! See, at first they were like "What?", and then they were like "Huh?", and then... I finally went "No it's BOLT, B-O-L-T! And then they're all going "Oh Bolt! Yea I get it..." ...But then it was totally blank faces like most of them were utterly oblivious to who He actually is. Naturally, my "-_-" expression, followed by an invisible "face-palm" soon crossed my mind... LOL.

You had to spell it out? Wow. Just wow.

I know, right?! So yea, it was indeed THAT BAD. I'm for hoping that they're still all sleepy/out-of-sync from summer vacation, and will come to their senses in due time... *sighs*

Wow, just read the comments above. I'm not too surprised, unfortunately, as it seems like a lot of people just didn't notice Bolt and it kinda bombed in the box office.

And it is not that weird when you think about it. Bolt received precious little buzz in the media, to the point that many movie critics like outright questioned why nobody was noticing this precious, underrated animated feature. It wasn't properly backed by Disney who assumed that Bolt was gonna fail anyway because it came from the wreck that was American Dog and they only had 18 months to fix it. The little advertising it got was mostly useless and totally malplaced with too much focus on trying to attract the Miley Cyrus crowd that were already watching Twilight anyway which was opening the same weekend as Bolt.

And who at Disney thought it was a good idea foe Bolt to open the same weekend as Twilight and the new James Bond movie?

Don't be, you hit the nail right on the head bolt I think didn't receive enough recognition at the time due to time left to make bolt. Not enough People saw the advertising therefor not Enough anticipation e.t.c.
