The Fox and the Hound - Tod saves Copper's life and then Copper saves Tod's life, but they both know they can never be the best friends they once were due to society rules and stupid believes. And then in the end we see how Tod watches Copper from up a hill and Copper recalls his time as puppy with Tod:
"Copper? You’re my best friend."
"And you’re mine too, Tod."
"And we’ll be friends forever, won’t we?"
"Yeah, forever."
It is sooooo bittersweet!

Sure Is, But It's Been A While Since I've Seen "Fox And The Hound"!
When Shang died in- Mulan II
The Fox and the Hound- of course
Bambi -because well you guys already discussed that
Cinderella -was a bit depressing until the end
Mulan saving her father
I was sad during Sleeping Beauty.- When Maleficent was explaining Philip and Aurora's future
Finding Nemo- who didn't cry?
The Great Mouse Detective- When Basil felt he's failed
Dumbo-I cried when Jimminy Cricket did
Mary Poppins- when she left the kids
Peter Pan- when Wendy didn't go back to Neverland with Peter
Monsters Inc.-when Sully had to leave Boo
Prince of Persia- I was so scared that if they ended the movie that way what would happen to the Prince (i totally forgot his name)
Secretariat-the dad died
Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian-apparetly Peter and Susan can't come back!!!
Meet the Robinsons- just everything that happened
Bridge to Terabithia-...you know!
Cadet Kelly- her dad almost died
Remeber the Titans-okay if your not sad, idk what you are
Tarzan-he was mistreated
Dinosaur-come on half of them died
Homeward Bound-the Incredible Journey
Robin Hood-i wanted to cry half the time
Davy Crockett-he died
"Princess and the Frog" when the little bug dies, Raymond, I think. Then he goes to heaven to join Avangeline, (I don't know how it's spelt) but it's the star he thought was another firefly way up in the sky and when he dies, he shines beside her... I'm tearing up just now ... :P
Here's a list of all the Disney movies that nearly or did made me tear up:
-Beauty and the Beast: When Beast dies..
-Up: When Carl looks through his wife's scrapbook.
-Brother Bear: Do I even need to say?
-Princess and the Frog: when Ray dies..
-Pochontas: When John leaves..
-Lion King: Again, do I even need to say?
-Toy Story 3: When Andy had to leave the toys at Bonnie's. :(
-Bambi: When Bambi's Mum died..
-Bambi 2: When Bambi 'died'.
-Fox and The Hound: At the fight.
Well, I would probably say Beauty and the Beast or Tangled, they r both so similar and both made me cry like a baby (though I don't usually cry for movies), specially Tangled :( I have never cried for a Disney movie like I did for Tangled. just love that ending.
You say about Tangled or Beaty and the Beast but I cannot understand it. Their endings wasn't sad at all. They were happy and they lived "happily ever after".
I think the saddest disney endings are from Pocahontas and Fox and the Hound.
And somehow Toy Story 3. The only sad endings... or bittersweet anyway...call it whatever you want.
Obviously, you all are young... You don't even know REAL Disney -- back when animation meant movies, features, and cartoons were drawn by hand... But you've missed a key movie that had a "happy" ending, after a tragic climactic scene: OLD YELLER. If you've seen the movie, who can forget how Travis was forced to shoot Old Yeller after being infected with rabies, in order to save his family and become the "man" of the family with his father gone on a cattle drive.
And secondly, you didn't acknowledge either Bambi (death) nor Dumbo (incarceration and abuse), in which both characters lose their mothers at early ages.
I would have to say Fox and the Hound, The ending is really sad but I think what really gets me is when Tod's owner (Forgot the name) releases Tod into the wild. I have a pet dog named Tinkerbell and I could never get rid of her. She is a Boxer but she is a really sweet and loving dog that I could never get rid of her and I always think of her when watching that scene. I guess that's just me though.
Even though Beauty and the Beast is my favourite overall film of all time! I have to say Pocahontas is THE movie that makes my cry at the end. When he sails off into the open sea and she watches him leave as the wind blows through her hair really brings tears to my eyes!
