Also if you read the books, the "pixie" dust is made from Mother Dove's feathers which is even more confusing. I know pixie can be another term for fairies so maybe that's it.
because its their place .do u know that in somewhere else[i dont remmber the place exactly]there are real fairies.there are tinkerbelll,vidia,..................
fairy haven is what it is called in the trilogy books by gail carson levine.in the chapter fairy story books its pixie hollow. the name change is i guess the disney people's descision. it sounds better than saying fairy haven and that goes for the dust being called pixie instead of fairy dust.
