Which means you can walk down the street naked, so long as no one gets offended by it.

Well, they meant specifically nudity. Around here, nudity is sort of like the "don't ask don't tell" army policy for gays. "Don't offend, don't get arrested" is how it goes instead, though.

As for my choice-- I understand that a bunch of people are uncomfortable with nudity. Similarly, nudists are uncomfortable with clothes. Which is why I think there is a time and place for everything.

Every year, Seattle has the Fremont Street Fair and the nude bicyclist's parade. As a woman, I personally think it would be rather uncomfortable to ride a bike nude, but they do it. They paint their bodies completely, though. So they're nude, but painted, bicyclists.

This year, there was even a girl who was watching who was topless and in cut offs. She had painted her chest, but I mean everything was clearly visible, just a different color. She climbed into a tree to watch the parade, and she looked like a bird. I wanted to take a picture so badly, but I didn't have my camera!

Like Cinders has extensively (thank you :) great photo's) showed us: nude in the street can be a lot of fun for everyone involved. Those are the same streets people walk to get to work on any other day of the week.

I agree that nudity is ok in any place, at any time... just let people know what to expect.

Also for the option "it should be legal for women to be topless". Sure it's okay if it's for breast feeding but come on...women with extremely low cut tops are called sluts already, you really think them topless (which they would love to do in a second) is going to help society? there are people out there that would beat those sort of girls up for going near their boyfriends, etc.

The double standard ticks me off is all. Breasts are NOT genitalia and the myth that they are is perpetrated by making it illegal for women to be topless but not men.

Harpyr, to me, it's the other way around. I agree with you that the double standard on being topless should be corrected. But since clearly more people would take offense to women walking around topless than they do to men who do the same... I think women shouldn't be aloud to walk around topless. I DO think that if you look at it that way, it should be equally forbidden for men to walk around without their shirts on.

Yet you don't see bunches of women going shirtless on a daily basis. It's not like suddenly overnight we'd be seeing topless women walking down Main St. It would just make very clear that no one has any right to harass a mother for feeding her child when and where she sees fit.

And there's no way men would ever make it illegal for guys to go shirtless. That bill would be laughed out of the chambers.

i have been to many and well they're pretty much like where it's not legal except they don't have tan lines lol they're not sat topless in restaurants just like the men aren't sat topless in restaurants

allowing women to go topless would not mean we would loose our brains as soon as we take the tops off

They recently made it legal in Ontario (the province where I live) for women to go topless if they choose. I've never seen anyone go topless, though. Nothing's really changed except it's easier for breastfeeding mothers, because they no longer have to go hide in bathrooms or whatever to feed their kids.

Honestly, though, who would want to go topless with pubescent boys and pervy old men staring at you everywhere you go?

I think that nude beaches and breast feeding should be allowed nudity. Very few things are as natural as a mother feeding her child.

there is nothing wrong with it. pants are tight, shoes hurt, shirts aren't warm enough. the sun is nice and warm on my skin and grass is smooth on my feet.

Yes, I can see how being naked is nice and warm compared to wearing a shirt that isn't warm enough. And yes, shoes are way more uncomfortable than walking around barefoot and stepping in gum all the time. And tight pants are offcourse the only type of pants so if they're uncomfortable, running around naked is the only other option.

Like they do in Zootopia. The movie features an area pacifically made for people to go nude around others. I personally wouldn't go anywhere near a nude resort/beach or go in places where being nude around others is OK (locker rooms/public baths etc), but I know that other people may be OK with this. So they should have a specific place for that.
