Debate Question

hi guys! okay i think this is gonna be a good one...is there a difference between energy and consciousness?

Every one of us alive has the same energy inside of us, even none living things have energy, and we know that it is this energy that allows us to move and walk about and let information from our brain cause us to have thoughts and memories and feelings.
But could there be something more than energy and meaty grey matter that causes us to be truly alive? i mean, look at computers, they remember things and they store information just like us, some of them are even programmed to talk.
i mean, i went into an electronics store this one time and i saw a little robot dog that was programmed to have feelings and emotions just like us, it barked when it was mad wagged it's tail when it was happy, and tilted it's head and wagged it's tail when it was content. Yet was this being was truly conscious? I had doubts :P
so since little robot doggies contain energy memories and emotions, and so do we then does that mean that there is something more to consciousness? something that we cannot yet fully explain? i know without our brain we cannot think or survive, i know it controls a good bit of who we are? but how does it make us alive? i mean like, truly living....so there it goes, your turn now ^ ^ lol

Well, energy is K=1/2mv^2 and consciousness is an awareness on yourself and the world around you.

Unless you're being spiritual. If that's the case, then I have no idea.

(I'm going on the assumption that this is a spiritual question.)

Yes, there's a big difference. Consciousness is awareness. Awareness of yourself, awareness of things around you. Consciousness is recognizing that you are both, simultaneously, a subject and an object, that you are both the center of your own universe, but that you are a part of a much, much larger universe.

Energy is what you're made of up. It's something that can be manipulated, and changed (to a certain degree.)

Not everyone has the same energy. We all have similar energy (i.e, there's an energy that makes us human), but no two energies are alike. I think of them like fingerprints. All humans have fingerprints. To the untrained (or naked) eye, they all look pretty similar. But when you get up close and study, they're vastly different. You and I have similar energy because we're both human. But there are differences in our energies because we're not the same person. We are two separate entities and, so, we have two separate energies.
