I wrote this using your blog Damian, and thinking last night about your day today.

WORDS CAN NOT SAY

How do you put into words, what can you say,
When someone has been with you every step of the way,
From the very beginning and nearing the end,
How to express feelings for someone,
Whose been more than a friend.

Whose mentored and taught you more than any other,
You're right in your saying, Paul is your brother,
And what an honor for you to be under his wing
Assuring you when your voice was breaking
You will come thru it to sing.

The Gems have been so priceless, and the humor such a treat,
It's a wonder how you've managed to land back on your feet.
So much craic thru the last 3 years,
You've laughed so hard till it brought you to tears.
Being on guard for a well played prank or two,
Knowing Paul is lurking to put a good one on you.

And even this although I don't know why,
After 3 years Paul finally taught you to tie your own tie,
Taught you how to shave, cheered you up when homesick,
Letting you beat him on your XBox, that was his trick!

Here is the time when I'll try to say,
How Paul has helped shape the man you are today,
By staying humble and thankful for all that you do,
And treating others as you would have them treat you.

Now I have to stop.......for a minute or two,
Because I'm at the place where it gets harder for you,
Because you can't put into words, no not one,
That could express your gratitude for what Paul has done.

So as today moves on and the sun goes down,
And the stage has been set for the last final round,
And you hear the playing of Irelands Call,
And know you're on stage for perhaps the last time with Paul,
And the last 3 years are coming back to you now,
And you have to go on but you just don't know how
And your emotions have risen flowing over the rim,
Remember you'll always have your brother, your brother
PAUL BRIM!!!
