Which graphic novels would you suggest?

Already have: Sam & Max, JTHM, Squee, Neurotically Yours.

Will also take books or animated series, since "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" & "Tim Burton's Stain Boy" seem to fit in.

What I'm looking for:

*Main character or characters are seriously f**ked-up people, but not perverts.
*Macabre sense of humor, cartoony violence. Perhaps a little trippy & nonsensical.
*No sex, no romance, little to no drama.

Art requirements for graphic novels:
*B&W, no color.
*Background intense art that demands you analyze every panel for tiny messages & running gags.
