Classical Music SIRIUS TO INTRODUCE NEW MODERN MASTERS SHOW FOCUSING ON CONTEMPORARY CLASSICAL MUSIC

This week SIRIUS Satellite Radio will introduce a new weekly one-hour program called Modern Masters featuring contemporary classical music by today’s leading composers. The weekly feature will launch on SIRIUS’ Symphony Hall channel 80 this Saturday, July 19 at 7 pm ET.


Modern Masters will explore the works of living composers such as John Adams, John Corigliano and Jennifer Higdon along with many others. Host Preston Trombly will introduce contemporary compositions drawn from a broad range of backgrounds performed by orchestras including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony, London Sinfonietta, Minnesota Orchestra and Louisville Orchestra. Modern Masters will be broadcast every Saturday at 7 pm ET.
