I think the writers can make it work for many more seasons with them together if they start thinking outside of the box and STOP thinking of 'Moonlighting' and 'Bones' (which admittedly I have never seen and probably never will). Instead they should channel the powers of 'Hart to Hart', 'Greatest American Hero' and 'Hot Pursuit' (aaah...the 80s).
