I'm not really a fan of modern/non-magical AUs - in my experience the majority of these don't write the characters well enough to feel familiar - but I thought these ideas sound interesting.

I've come across a few season 1 AUs and I've mixed opinions about them. Some are good, others annoy me by moving too quickly or by replacing the Emma & Henry TLK with a Captain Swan one (I really liked the twist that TLKs can be family too).

I haven't come across any really set in the alternate universe at the end of season 4, just ones which extend what we saw for a few more scenes before reality is restored.

I've read a few Wishverse fics (or Enchanted Forest/no Curse AUs which is basically the same) but none which really feel in character and work for me, so far.
