Ok, so I'm giving writer's block a run for its money. So .... yea. Likes it? ^_^
Elena's POV
I couldn't stop myself. I had to make sure some part of my past still exsisted. Maybe this was just a nightmare, and he would suddenly appear and take me back.
I walked down my front steps, through the yard and out to the park. I was biting my lip all the way to the woods. I knew this wasn't the safest way to go, but it was quickest. The quicker I made sure that place where I spent some of the greatest days of my life still exsisted, the better. I took a deep breath as I turned around and looked to make sure no one saw me walking into the dense woods.
I kept walking, trying to figure out where I was going. I probably picked the worst day to do this; the coulds were covering up the sun. It was cold, making me shiver when the wind blew. I heard thunder off in the distance, and I knew I had to speed up. My walked turned into a slow run. Realization hit me, and I realized this was sort of like my nightmare. I was running to the one place I had always felt safe when he was here; His home, that I had memories beyond memories in. I kept walking, though. I wasn't going to let some harmless dream stop me.
Everything looked alike. The trees, the grass, the stumps; You name it. I paniced, thinking I was lost, which wasn't unlikely. The sky had started to mist, so I put my face to the sky, hoping that would calm me; It helped, but I wasn't fully calm, my breathing was still hectic.
I looked back forward and opened my eyes, hoping I would realize where I was.
I opened them quickly, already walking. I stoppped in my tracks, astonished by what I saw.
A few feet in front of me, there stood Stefan. As soon as I saw him, he was gone. I looked around, trying to find him. When I stopped him, he was gone again. This went on for a few seconds until I couldn't find him again. I was really worried now; I was officially insane. If I saw an apparition, I figured I would see Damon. This didn't make any sense to me.
I took several deep breaths up to the sky again, trying to calm my heart rate. I could feel it jumping out of my chest.
I heard what sounded like a stick break behind me, and I immediatly turned around, subconciously. I saw nothing.
Next thing I knew, all I saw was darkness. I could feel the ground, so I figure I tripped. I felt something go in my left arm, and I was suddenly sleepy. I was alseep in under five minutes, hoping I would dream of something better than this reality I was living in.
Yay! 25!
