nope, not really. i was quite surprised myself when i started reading the books that there is almost nothing similar about them, apart from their jobs. and even that isn't identical because she's also a professor in the books. but there is sort of a romance between her and the cop guy she works with later on. it should also be noted that i didn't read more than 3 of the books. and only part of the 3rd, so i don't know if her character eventually becomes more similar to the show one or not.

book tempe is more emotional and people savy, like others have said it is best not to compare the two and just enjoy them as if they are two seperate characters.

Nope, it's best to think of them as completely different characters if you want to truly enjoy both.

I've read 13 books about Tempe and I love them. she's really completely different in books and in series. all they have in common are just name and forensic anthropology. but if you'll read them all and carefuly you can find connection between cases in books and series. not much, but some yes ;-)

I strongly recommend you to read them. :-) they are amazing! I love both books and series, even though they're so different.. and do you plan to read #Virals? they're YA novels by Kathy Reichs.. have you heard of them?
