Bones Question

What's the age difference between Booth & Jared? Also, any ideas how long their father was around for?

We know that Booth is 39/40, and that Hank ran Booth & Jared's father off at some unspecified point.

Since Booth mentions that he would have been a suicidal as a teenager without his grandfather I'm guessing Hank ran his father off somewhere around his early teens.

I was kind of hoping somebody with more knowledge of the American military could give me some clue as to what Jared's uniform meant to give a rough age gap.

Any help would be appriciated.

well, if it helps, i belive there was an episode where jared comes to town and tell booth he is going to india and he mention what age he joined the army..

But i think that Jared is like 28/29 something like that i mean he looks on that age to me ^^ :)

Yeah I think your right about the age Booth was when their father left. Around early teens so about 11-13 maybe? And I have no idea about the military uniform thing? Sometimes (alot) in tv shows they stretch the limit about peoples age for experinece in jobs. Like eg Cam being a cop for 10 years, then her being a coroner for about a few more years than that, shes about 38.
