I don't think it will matter considering the spin off won't even really be related to Bones. It may not even happen. The same thing was supposed to happen with House, but it never did.
Spin offs don't tend to ruin shows anyway. Like NCIS:LA and CSI:Miami and NY haven't affected their original series.

It seems as tho the spin off is set to happen, they seem to have recruited an actor to play the lead. I do agree that some spin offs are successful, but others ruin the original series. I always thought that Joey spoiled friends. I just hope this spin off lives up to expectations.
That's true, but I don't think Joey ruined Friends, since it was already over. If anything it ruined Matt LeBlanc's career. XD I think most Friends fans have done their best to forget it existed.
I hope it does happen and I don't really think it will effect (affect?) the original that much since I see very little in common between them, but the spinoff actually does sound like it will be nice to watch.

Not to mention the actor cast to play the lead's partner (Michael Clark Duncan) was in one of my favorite movies.
