Well, if I were to begin with the presentation, I would give a definition of what anime is, which is Japanese animation.

As for the history, I believe the oldest anime short was animated around 1912-1922? I'll look into that, in a little bit.

Well Anime is obviously about animation first started creating in Japan, but it soon influenced people to other things such as drawing your favorite characters, but if you want help on knowing when it was first created:

The characteristic anime art style emerged in the 1960s with the works of Osamu Tezuka and spread internationally in the late twentieth century, developing a large domestic and international audience. First of all your drawing is awesome, second you can tell him some lessons you learnt from anime or some quotes, it may leave a good impression.

I did a speech about the history of anime/animation, and even a PowerPoint. I would srsly show it to but I'm not on my cp right now.
I know the creator of the first anime was a man named Akira, he was influenced by Walt Disney.
In which, in the end Astor Boy was created.
