Angel Beats! Question

What got you into Angel Beats in the first place?

(For me, I heard about it, but never really got around to watching it, simply because of my One Piece obsession. However, once I had watched all of that, I really needed other stuff to watch and I wanted to find something more like Shuffle, than Bleach or One Piece... So I started watching Angel Beats and realised that it wasn't really like Shuffle at all, but that I immensely enjoyed it. Watching AB was what got me into watching K-On, too. XDDDDD)
What got you into Angel Beats in the first place?
