To be honest i dont agree with the critics on this film. I watched a youtube critic review and the critic critisized it because it was about wolves.

I don't like the critics' reviews of it. It's not just for kids, I'm 21 and I'm obsessed with the movie. The lovable characters, my wolf obsession and the bonus of me being a furry are enough for me to love the film.

I almost never listen to reviews anyway. I agree with fishypup, I only get an opinion on a movie after I've seen it myself and I loved this movie.

I wanted to see this movie when it came out, but didn't have the money at the time. I had to wait until it came out on DVD to be able to see it. I LOVED it from the get-go! It's about my favorite animal, so how could I not? I even from the TV spots, I knew it was a cartoon, not a documentary. I think all the negative critics were upset that it wasn't more "educational" or something like that. Looked at from a cartoon standpoint, it was pretty cool. I like to say that it's what wolves do when humans aren't watching them.

Yes, and No, I'm afraid. Critics do what they do for a reason - because they have a knack for Objective Assessment. That is to say, They can view and judge things without being emotionally invested in it, or bias in other ways.
Being an art/film student has basically forced the habit onto me to do the same. Look at films from every aspect and design how well its actually done.

Unfortunately for critics and my learnin', I still love the movie, even with the handful of flaws it may have. Thats what happens when you kidnap magic and put it in the movie.

I hate critics! They are so harsh on family movies! Like when Ice Age 3 came out, the critics gave it a bad grade (on Yahoo.com) and I got so mad. I haven't heard what the critics said about this movie, but it was probably something like what the critics said about Ice Age 3. Both are really great movies! Screw critics.

The animation was really well done and the charecters were likeable. And as to the critic who hated on this movie because it was about wolves; FUCK HIM! I love wolves.

The critics need to look at who the movie is aimed at. This one is more for teens and maby kids. That means that they need to use their iner child or teen to rate this movie. Thay are so stupid sometimes, and just make a bad reputation for the movie because they are so stupid!

I'm 21 and an adult and I love this movie. Besides that the voice acting could have been stonger, there was nothing wrong with this movie.

I personally enjoyed the movie a lot. I liked it how they gave the wolves human qualities so you could really look at them and understand how they felt and what they were going through so you could connect with a character or two. The critics have their opinions,and I respect that, but no one can change my perspective on the movie. Also I don't understand why someone would waste their time raging on how much they hate a kids movie...oh well, that's just valuable time they are wasting. Anyways, overall, I think they were a little harsh on it since it was a family kids\family movie.

To be honest, the critics are always harsh on movies, even if it's really good, they just love to bash a movie. This movie deserves so much more than just negative reviews

I will admit, it has problems. Story is pretty cliché and the script can be questionable at times. And the animation doesn’t quite match pixar.
But the loveable characters, amazing art direction, beautiful music, hint of environmentalism, and overall charm make you forget about that.

fuck no i don't! i mean, okay. the story's kinda cliched and a few jokes can be kinda inappropriate. but that's all the negatives about the movie, cause even though it's cliched here it works, thanks to all the charm, great heart, great cast of characters, great voice acting, beautiful backgrounds (that all look better in 3D), fantastic score and a great moral. movies with cliched stories don't really give all of that, but Alpha and Omega nailed it perfectly! so fuck all the critics who said it was "bad"

@BlondLionEzel Michael Bay's take on Transformers actually IS pretty terrible, especially the 2nd and 4th. he clearly doesn't give a shit about Transformers. but that's just my thought, i have nothing against your opinion

Such vitriol... Thank God most of us have a more relaxed attitude towards the franchise these days. Yes, by all means, disagree with any critic of any movie you like or dislike all you want. But RELAX. There's ALWAYS going to be someone whose opinions vary from your own. Tomorrow will always come, and even if you're still of the bizarrely paranoid opinion that saying "I don't like this film" is somehow going to destroy the concept of creativity itself, NOTHING can be done to alter this film that you love so much. Not sure about every comment but a lot of comments seem mature. Many people are allowed to disagree with critics, and criticize them. Some people don't like it when some critics are criticized.

And for these critics in general, they are mainly wrong. No they aren't wrong for simply disliking, but they are wrong on judging it mostly. Yes, there is a difference between disliking something, than going out and saying someone's own creative works are "flawed". And if you say someone's art design in this film, or the inspired story, or the dancing for example is flawed, then in terms of idea, that does stifle creativity. Any critic who denies that when it's obvious is childish.

If it's "flawed", then every movie style, including those edgy inspired small eye generic red and black wolves. lol It's 100% the same logic considering it's subjective.
