The way Splash and Tom Kane were, this was never going to be revealed, so we don't actually know if he was an ophan or not. I'm guessing yes as we would have seen them by now or even heard him mention them at some point, same goes for Garth's mother
I really want a 9th movie focusing on Humphrey's parents.
It would start out on Father's Day and the pups are wishing Humphrey a happy Father's Day. Then they ask him about his father or parents since he's never brought them up. Humphrey pauses for a minute and doesn't answer. Kate takes him outside to talk privately and BOOM!! story is born. I'll think of the rest of the script.
