Alpha and Omega are you glad they took a darker and more mature direction with A&O 4?

It still doesn't top the original film though.

Funny, I was going to say "Hell yes." Guess the poll option beat me to it, haha.

I wish the first movie was like Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave (even if it is one of my favorite animated movies) now that I've seen it (A&O4). I hope all future movies are like Saw Tooth Cave.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole was the only animated movie I'd like better before I saw A&O4, but now there's two that I like better. In fact, I think I liked A&O4 better than The Owls of Ga'Hoole even. And I never thought there'd be an animated movie that topped The Owls of Ga'Hoole.

A huge hell yes. I was getting fed up with the friendliness of the third one, and I would have given up if there was never a ghost in Saw-tooth cave and it was just some grumpy old hag scaring the kiddies away.

@JettAlpha: Yeah, I'm glad it wasn't a Halloween-inspired movie like we'd expected originally because of A&O2 being Christmas themed. It was actually like a horror movie (for a PG-rated movie).

If you don't like "friendliness" then why would you like these movies in the first place?
Honestly I thought the paranormal stuff was out of place

@tehrealkatewolf how was it "outta place"? would you kindly mind explaining it?

@tehrealkatealpha: I felt like the ghost made the movie better, among MANY other things. I hope there are more movies to feature the ghost, even though it seemed to leave at the end of the movie (when the darkness of Shadow Forest left after Daria joined the Eastern/Western Pack). You never know what surprises the creators are planning after A&O4.

But honestly, I feel like A&O3 is the only one that is entirely child friendly. There's a reason it's the only G-rated one while the others are PG-rated.

Notice how he said he did't like the friendliness of the third one, not the entirely series. Try reading the comments better before you say something.

He's talking about how they stood on their two back legs in the first movie.

@wwwarea really? lacked the cool movements? they moved exactly like in the first movie, but that's apparently not enough for you cause there was no howling and wolves dancing on 2 legs? c'mon! just cause you don't have that in the movie doesn't mean that you should say it wasn't that good. honestly, you and tehrealkatewolf are one of the few people who didn't like A&O 4 that much.

So basically he misses the anthro-like movements of the characters from the first movie? While I liked those howling scenes in the first, I think that being absent in the sequels makes them feel more realistic. And I'm a fan of realism over abstract, even if lack or presence of either doesn't bother me at all.

wwwarea, you do realize that it's only the first movie that features wolves standing on their hind legs and it wasn't that many? Maybe 6 of them. Didn't happen the sequels at all. It's not just A&O4. I liked it, but I don't miss it that that much. I still like A&O4 better than the first, whether it features wolves standing on their hind legs or not.

The animators and other creators probably realized how it would be strange to make another scene with wolves standing on their hind legs, so they they took a more realistic approach toward the wolves behavior, especially in A&O4.
