Tie between the first and fourth. A&O 2 ending was cute but abrupt. A&O 3 ending... Meh.

Well if you include the final battle, then saw tooth cave, but you cant beat the original

really big tie in with A&O 1 and 4. i liked A&O 2 and 3 endings also, but i can't really choose between the first one and fourth one

Well the only one that got me to tears is the first, and for good reason.

@JettAlpha: I must be the only person who thinks everything about A&O4 beat the original. Animation is better, acting is better, characterization is better.

I can't name anything that makes the original better than A&O4 except the running time. That's the only thing that I thought needed improvement. It should've been longer, even if has a complete plot. But regardless of 45 min v. 90 minute, I still enjoyed A&O4 more than the original, the plot being a huge factor. I couldn't stand Romeo and Juliet, so I don't really like being reminded of it (even in a movie I like).

I'm gonna have to go with A&O4 because I didn't connect with the first two movies the first time I watched them. I had to watch both twice to like them, whereas I liked A&O4 just five minutes in. The original didn't make me sad the first time when it came to Kate's death, but when I watched it later, it did. No idea what made me enjoy A&O and A&O2 more when I watched them a second time.

Basically the only reason I like A&O now is that I had decided to give the movies a second chance a year after I watched the first when I saw the second at family video.

But I think me not liking A&O at first has to do with the Romeo and Juliet-inspired plot.

I had a lot more feels during the fourth movie's ending.

@Kitsune: The plot alone is why I immediately chose A&O4 over the original. No more reminders of Romeo and Juliet, even if Alpha and Omega is the first adaption of the that didn't bore me to death.

Daria is another big reason, plus the darker tone, more detailed animation, and improved acting from earlier movies, especially A&O3.

Oh come on, I liked it and all, but the production quality of the first was far, far superior to this.

@tehrealkatealphawolf: I feel that A&O4 has the better production quality, especially the animation. It's much more detailed. If I could only keep the DVD of one A&O movie, it would be the fourth one, no questions asked at all.

I feel that the fourth is superior in story an characters.
