@BlondLionEzel: Darker doesn't always mean it wouldn't be child friendly. Have you seen the Ice Age, All Dogs Go to Heaven, The Land Before Time, The Fox and the Hound, and Legend of the Guardians? All dark, yet all child friendly at the same time.

No. Dark rarely means that. It just means a bit more serious, with G or PG level violence, really mild horror themes, and so on.
