I think she helps demonstrate how much Kate's matured from the first film.

LillyOmega2 picked she's okay:
She's okay, but I still like all the original actors better, especially Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Dennis Hopper, Danny Glover, Dennis Hopper, Christina Ricci. Horror movie actors always make the best actors in animated movies. (Three-quarters of the original actors appeared in at least one horror movie before or after A&O.)

I feel the same about Joel Edgerton, even though we'll probably never to get see him voice King. Since I've already seen Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole and Zero Dark Thirty, he'd be a much better actor for King than Blackie Rose. He was good as Garth, but I think Joel Edgerton would've been so much better for King's voice. He sounds like how Blackie Rose did as King, only with a much stronger voice. Can't understand why they replaced him, of all actors.

And Bruce Willis. Websites I found a while ago (now dead links) had also said he'd be in the movie, just like Joel Edgerton, among others, so I'd assume he was meant to replace Dennis Hopper. He did a good job voicing RJ in Over the Hedge, and playing John McClane in Die Hard, so I could see him voicing Tony.

Edit: I should note that she replaced Jesse Eisenberg as Stinky.
