Like Humphrey, I think her character has continued to improve since the first film. She portrays the role of a mother just spot-on perfect and she's still as lovely as she was in the original.

Yeah. She got plenty in the sequel but less in the third movie. Fourth movie, I think it's pretty clear that her role will be bigger. Same with the fifth film.

Of course who wouldn't? xD but seriously these sequels have built up her character to the point that she fits the mother role perfectly.
