Why January 11th?

I was going through some of the old answers and back then everyone said it would be released on DVD December 7th, why did they delay it until January 11th then? You would think that it would've been sold better if they released it before the holidays?

It's probably better they did it after the holidays are done so they won't have to waste anymore money to go shopping. But sometimes I notice if a movie has done fairly poor or well at the box office, they'll send it straight to DVD and Bluray really fast. I think they do that so they can get more cash.
